Imagine…. 13 women dressed in white met at the city center of Munich on a sunny Friday afternoon before Christmas…
We met at a small church and first we got in contact to each other in a circle, we introduced ourselves, talked about how to get in contact and how to talk to women in the streets.
Then we started our journey.
We went in a white line to a small christmas market, some of us already addressed women on our way. At the market we thought about standing or walking in a circle but it turned out to be better to split up. So we placed a small chair with the vision-poster, flyers, white candles and white matchboxes glued with our website and one meaningful sentence on it.
We spread all over the market and made different experiences. Some women were uninterested, some didn’t have time to talk, others – but not that many – were enthusiastic about our idea. We also got inspiring input like contacting https://muenchner-frauenforum.de
Then we decided to change place and took the underground and bus to another – more alternative – market at Olympiapark called Märchenbazar. We hoped to meet more like-minded women there. And it was a good idea!
We had very touching and enriching conversations and we inspired a lot of women for our idea. Also men were very interested and asked about “men in white.”
By the end, all of us felt a connecting and empowering energy being embedded in the group of white dressed women all having the same vision.
Afterwards some of us sat together in a beautiful tent at the Märchenbazar having chai and collecting ideas and brainstorming for the February and April events.

Viele Menschen waren berührt, dankbar und wollen sich weiter beteiligen
– andere nicht interessiert.
wir haben in Bussen, U-Bahnen, auf Plätzen und Christkindlmärkten erzählt
Menschen, die sich interessierten, schenkten wir diese Vision gedruckt – eine Streichholzschachtel oder eine Kerze…
wir waren etwa 15 – und sind mit vielen vielen in kleinere Gespräche gekommen.

IMAGINE… women coming together to stop war!
On Friday, December 19, we walked through Munich dressed in white and told the story of our vision:
Imagine 100,000 women dressed in white coming to a war zone. Imagine them forming a nonviolent human shield. They are coming from all over the world, including regions party to the war whenever movement is possible. They are spanning all nationalities, all religions, all shades of skin, hair, and eye color, and all ages.
We told it on buses, subways, in squares, and at Christmas markets
Imagine them standing together to protect everyone, regardless of “side”, political affiliation, or national identity. They are committed and deeply trained, and they are determined to use the power of nonviolence to call everyone back to their humanity.
We gave this vision—on paper, on a matchbox or a candle—to people who were interested…
They have trust in their capacity to stop the war and create a foundation for a peaceful approach to addressing the conflict that led to the war. They act as one body, rooted in nonviolence, loving life, vital, and full of faith.
